On May 1st, 2021, Here4You Foundation carried out an inspiring Outreach at the Orphanage in Kajjansi–Makandwa, Wakiso District. The visit aimed to support children and caregivers at the Home of Jesus Care Network Orphanage by offering compassion, mentorship, and practical skills. It became a fulfilling experience that strengthened our shared commitment to building resilient communities.
Throughout the day, the team interacted with the children through storytelling, songs, and games. Moreover, they shared motivational messages that encouraged every child to dream big and remain focused on education.
To address immediate needs, the foundation provided food, clothing, and hygiene items, ensuring the children felt valued and cared for.
Other activities
Additionally, the outreach included a soap-making workshop, where both children and caregivers learned how to produce soap for daily use and as a means of income generation. This training promoted creativity and self-sufficiency, reflecting the foundation’s belief in empowering lives through skills development.
Furthermore, this outreach created an opportunity for meaningful dialogue with the orphanage administration and community leaders. Together, we discussed ways to strengthen ongoing support systems for children in care and improve access to education.
The foundation emphasized the importance of collective action, where each stakeholder contributes to sustainable growth and emotional stability for the children. As a result, new partnerships were initiated to enhance collaboration in future projects. Through continued engagement and shared responsibility, the community can transform its compassion into long-term impact and ensure that every child has the opportunity to thrive.
Most importantly, the smiles, laughter, and gratitude witnessed during the event reminded everyone that small acts of kindness can create a lasting impact. This outreach at the Orphanage reaffirmed our mission to nurture hope and opportunity in vulnerable communities.
