HOLD EMPOWER RESCUE

This growing initiative by Here4You Foundation is dedicated to guiding, empowering, encouraging, and mentoring young adolescent girls in primary and secondary schools.

Every girl deserves the opportunity to thrive and reach her full potential. Your support today helps us uplift and empower girls facing unimaginable challenges by providing them with the resources, mentorship, and opportunities they need to build a brighter future. We also extend our efforts to young adolescent mothers who were forced to drop out of school, equipping them with essential life and vocational skills, counseling, and financial support to help them resume their education—especially in remote and underserved communities.

LIFE LONG IMPACT

Hanifah’s Story

"My life has greatly improved," says Hanifah, a 17-year-old from Kibanyi Village in Luwero District, as she shares her inspiring journey. Hanifah dropped out of school at the age of 15 after becoming pregnant.

"I left school in Primary Six when I found out I was expecting. After giving birth, my parents asked me to leave the main house and build a small hut for me nearby. Life became challenging, especially since I had to care for my baby alone, without any support from my family or the child’s father. I survived by working in people’s gardens just to get food and a little money."

Through the H.E.R Project, Hanifah’s life took a positive turn. With full sponsorship, she received vocational training in hairdressing — a skill that transformed her future.

"My life has changed. I now work in a salon in Kampala and can provide for my son and support my family."

Promoting Dignity Through Menstrual Health

Giving is an essential part of humanity. Access to menstrual hygiene is fundamental to the dignity, health, and well-being of women and girls. Globally, approximately 52% of the female population experiences menstruation, with 26% being of reproductive age.

However, in rural areas, especially among schoolgirls, many suffer from stigma and a lack of adequate facilities to manage their menstrual health. Challenges such as limited preparation for young girls, absence of private spaces and washrooms, and inadequate access to menstrual hygiene materials continue to affect their education and self-esteem.

By supporting our initiatives, you help girls like Hanifah — and countless others — regain hope, dignity, and the opportunity to thrive.
