The Outreach at the maternity ward (Mother’s Day) organized by Here4You Foundation took place on May 14, 2023, at Jinja Referral Hospital. This special occasion aimed to honor and support mothers in the maternity ward by providing much-needed supplies and emotional encouragement. Guided by the principle that “No one has ever become poor by giving,” the Foundation sought to celebrate motherhood with kindness and dignity.
During the outreach, our team donated Maama kits, baby clothes, food items, soap, sugar, buckets, Pampers, and tinned milk, among other essentials. Activities such as blood donation, a hospital clean-up, and interactive sessions with mothers and caregivers added meaning to the day. These thoughtful gestures not only met immediate needs but also reinforced the value of compassion in community health initiatives.
The outreach emphasized the importance of maternal health awareness and the power of collective giving. By supporting new and expectant mothers, we aimed to ease their postpartum challenges and remind them that they are valued and appreciated. The event inspired hope and strengthened our mission to uplift vulnerable groups through sustainable community actions.
